Hey, guess what! We launched yet another new feature on Drooble. Тhis time we made a radio so that everybody within the community can listen to your music.

But why?

Well, because we can, but also for three main reasons.

• One, regular mainstream radio is boring and we wanted to provide you with the means of escaping it by giving you something else to listen to.
• Two, what better way to discover new musical content than just stream it directly from the source – the people who created it, a.k.a. every Drooble user who was ever brave enough to upload a song on the website and put their name under it.
• Three, you deserve it, along with everyone on Drooble, whether they want to showcase their work for free or just listen to what others have composed and get inspired. You know our mission we always talk about? The one where musicians should be able to support each other? The one where everyone’s a part of this great global community that helps good ideas flourish, music collaborations thrive and fanbases spontaneously form? Hint: this place is Drooble and the Drooble Radio is another step towards this goal. This about sums it up.

But how?

Good, question! Basically, we told our miracle-worker developers we needed to create an opportunity for everyone’s music to get heard by everyone else. Together, we designed the Drooble Radio. Then, we took all the songs you guys ever uploaded on Drooble, shuffled them and turned them into an online station that’s available for all Drooble users at all times. The plan is to keep adding there every new piece of music anyone posts on Drooble, so that every musician has an equal chance of getting heard. We know, we know, we’re so thoughtful. Don’t mention it – you deserve it and so does every other musician on the planet.

So who’s it for?

Everyone. As long as you have a heartbeat and a computer screen in front of you (connected to a working computer, of course), you’ll be able to play the Drooble Radio. The goals is to create an environment in which any person who posts music on Drooble can randomly hear the music, written by any other person who posts music on Drooble. Neat, huh?

Does it cost anything?

No. Do you pay anything to be on it? No. Like everything else on Drooble, the Drooble Radio is absolutely free. Free to listen to and free to have your music played. As mentioned before, the songs are chosen at random so don’t worry – your moment of fame will come. If you don’t hear your own songs, this means someone else, in another time zone, probably heard them while you were sleeping – and that’s the whole point, right? Obviously, the more music you upload, the bigger the chance you’ll be on the Drooble Radio.

Can I mess with it?

Yes! You always have the option to filter your Drooble Radio and play only specific styles of music to achieve the exact mood you’re looking for. Think about it – this means anyone on Drooble, who wants to listen to the genre you happen to play, will inevitably stumble upon your songs sooner or later.

Can I use it to promote my music?

Affirmative. Or, at least, you’ll be able to pretty soon. If you want your songs to be on more often, so more people can hear them, have a little patience – we’ll be adding the option to “pay” for extra time on the Drooble Radio with… you guessed it, Karma points! I am insatiable, what else do you got?

Haa, don’t worry, we figured by now you would have developed a taste for the finer things in life. And on the Internet. So there’s another feature you should be expecting soon. You’ll be able to add any song you hear on the Drooble Radio or see in your newsfeed to a custom playlist that you can play instead of the randomly generated song stream you’ll normally be hearing. That way you’ll be able to pick exactly what you want to listen to while you’re online. Exciting, right?

You won’t believe how much great music people upload on Drooble every day! No, really, you don’t even know! It’s definitely a great way to escape boring popular channels for a while and discover some new stuff. Who knows, maybe you’ll find your new favorite band, someone you want to play with or an inspiration for your next song.
