A short and sweet EP, Long Distant Calls is trip-hop duo EyE C at their most chilled out. It only takes about three minutes a track for the Fort Wayne representers to spread some extra good vibes into the collective consciousness. The tunes go down low, with plenty of bass and down-pitched narratives.

One of the four compositions is a straight-up skit incorporating a phone call, which contributes atmosphere and fits thematically with the EP’s title. We love the production, which sounds thick and polished. This is underground trip-hop at its finest, and we couldn’t help but be won over by Eye C.

Light up a joint and immerse yourself in these glorious few minutes of trippin’ and hoppin’, for this little record walks a long distance indeed!
