Brian Barnhouse clearly wants to be Bon Jovi, but unlike so many out there which desire the same, he has the skill and talent to emulate his musical guru in a most flattering manner. Sign of Life is a collection of ten tight, impeccably produced numbers that are awfully catchy. The lyrical content mostly has to do with love, which is hardly surprising.

Putting together the steady rhythms, proficient guitar work, and wonderful vocal harmonies, the combination becomes quite potent. This man definitely knows how to sing a tune for a lady! While the songs are a bit formulaic, they sound very fresh in contrast to the output of most Bon Jovi devotees.

Brian definitely knows what he’s doing and we think Sign of Life is a very pleasant listen, indeed!
