Hey Drooblers! Today we’d like to introduce you to one of your own. Kevin Roth is a guitarist from Buenos Aires who managed to get enough Karma points by posting awesome stuff on Drooble and who knew the best way to use them is getting featured on the best blog on the planet (hint: it’s this one). He’s been rocking the guitar since he was ten years old. He started with a teacher who taught him some chords. Then the little guy decided to develop his skills on his own. That led to his participation in two bands, playing rock, alternative and acoustic. Today, Kevin’s main inspiration is the acoustic, quite clear from his strong fingerstyle preferences. He says his current efforts are focused on getting even better at singing. In any case, it’s pretty obvious this Droobler know what he’s doing. Here are his thoughts.

What is music to you? What does it give you?
We always said it was a ground wire, we used to say with our friends when we disapproved everything in the secondary lol. So the music for me is to relax and enjoy.

What is your music dream?
Singing having a great vocal record and touching fingerstyle fluid.

If you could change the world – what would you start with?
It would change many people, but the world would not. I met VERY good people and those that ruin this world I do not have them around.

Which is the most memorable song from your childhood?
Coldplay – The Scientist or Fix You.

Who are your favorite musical artists or bands?
Coldplay, Snow Patrol, Shawn Mendes, The Vamps, Ed Sheeran, Sungha Jung, Lukas Graham, etc.

What inspires you to make music?
To listen acoustically and with great vocal jumps. Every time I hear very high notes and I get a tickle, I feel so keen to learn to do it.. that I do not care what it may take.

What is the message you want to send with your music?
That overcoming obstacles is not difficult, you just have to propose. Put the idea in your head, you can do it and take the time of the world you need, for that we are, do what we want, not tell us that we can not do it.

How do you feel when you perform in front of an audience?
Fear, I still have to change it, but for the moment a lot of shyness and I struggle to develop.

How do you see the musicians’ reality nowadays? What could be improved?
Many attitudes towards their fans.. They should remember that it is thanks to them for what they are hired. Also, that many see their “idols” as “superhero”. They should think more about each other.

What frustrates you most as a musician?
Not achieving goals or not being able to do something.. Do not leave after so much practice.

What qualities should a musician nowadays have in order to get his music heard by a larger audience?
Be charismatic, fun and try not to be closed on what one just likes, but be open.
