Promote your music for free with Karma points!

Okay, we have AMAZING news about a new feature on Drooble! Kind of repeating the title here but still: KARMA POINTS! YAY! Since this is a bit too exciting for us, we decided to be as clear and as systematic about it as possible, so we don’t scare you off or confuse you with our enthusiasm. Unfortunately, we can’t just scream everything about Karma points in your face all at once so let’s start simple: Karma points are something awesome we made especially for you that you can use to promote your music. How much you have depends on how awesome you are (seriously) and how many other people think so. Confused? Great!

Okay, why?

Statistically, there’s a huge possibility that you’re not super rich and famous, so we’ll just assume you aren’t (but if you are, read on anyway). It’s common knowledge that promotion costs money – and time, but time is money, so yeah. The point is, not everybody can afford to get their music heard these days. In fact, very few can. Even if you’re a great musician, the chances you’ll find a place to show off your skills that actually matches your budget are ridiculously low. Being the wonderful people that we are, we at Drooble decided to do something about it. What we did was Karma points.

Why so hyped?

Again, you can use Karma points to promote your music. This not only sounds amazing – it really is. Karma points can be used in a number of ways. For example, you can spend them to make your song featured as “Tune of the day” or “Video of the day”. This means all Drooble users will see your musical piece or video in their newsfeed for 24 hours. That’s right, ALL Drooble users. You can also use your Karma to become “Artist of the day”, meaning your page will be featured, so people can check your whole profile and all the music you’ve posted. If you have enough karma points you can even get your album reviewed or have an interview with you published on the Drooble Blog.

How do I earn Karma points?

Easy! Just show us what you’ve got – literally. You get karma points depending on how much you contribute to the community. This is measured by the way people react to your posts, songs, videos and comments. The more people like what you post and say, the more karma points you earn. Simple, right? We’ll also be very thankful when you invite new people to join Drooble and they actually do. Of course, we’ll express our gratitude in even more Karma points. Sharing your Drooble posts on other platforms, blogs and social media would be much appreciated as well.

What does this mean?

Unlike other social platforms, where exposure comes from real money, having a lot of points on Drooble literally means you post real quality content, thanks to the organic nature of this thing we call “Karma-based economy”. To put it simple, the people who will be rocking the whole Karma points thing will be people like you – great musicians who deserve to be appreciated. How cool is that?!

But wait, there’s more!

Тhere are a bunch of new promotion tools on our agenda we can’t wait to tell you about, including ones that will enable you to promote yourself and your music even outside Drooble. For now we’ll all have to wait a liiiitle bit for that. I know, I know – all in good time (said no one ever), but I promise you – your minds will be blown. For free. That sounded better in my head…

Anyways! On behalf of our whole team of amazing, caring, music-playing, people-loving chaps I’d like to say a big CONGRATS to you everyone else on Drooble for the birth of Karma points. Here’s to a future where the musicians who get attention are the musicians who actually deserve it!

Now let us – not quite sure you’re ready for this, but – ceeeelebrate good times, COME ON!
