Zuvys’s 3 is the perfect metal album to just lean back and relax
We cannot know for sure how much and how often UK musician Steve Cowan partakes in habitual levitations. The instrumentation is sparse and slo-o-o-w, yet makes for a dense and rich experience that you can’t help but become absorbed into.
The music trods along like a mammoth, pounding and pulsating with the rhythm of Earth’s very core. As a guitar player, Steve shows admirable restraint, never heading too far in the direction of showing off. But he does find the appropriate moment to pull off some incredibly tasteful, blues-inspired licks on top of his chunky riffs.
Our advice: get comfortable, light up and partake with Steve. You will discover some uncanny depth between the walls of down-tuned guitars.
