ISOVOX at Home!

Have you ever felt like singing the living crap out of a song but were too afraid your cranky neighbour would call the police AGAIN? Rhetorical question – of course you have. Well, meet Philip – a Swedish inventor who just may have done an enormous favor to all the talented, loud but heavily oppressed singers in living rooms, bathrooms, kitchens and bedrooms around the world. ISOVOX  is a wondrous contraption which will enable you to sing your soul out without worrying about sound-sensitive locals AND will provide the ultimate isolated environment where you’ll be able to hear every detail of your singing performance. We’ve asked Philip to tell us a bit about his gift to the human race and here’s what we got:

Hi Philip, first of all, what is Isovox? 

ISOVOX is first in the world to let vocalists practice and record without disturbing your neighbours. A portable, professional vocal booth designed to give home users the same benefits as a pro studio.

What problems are you hoping to solve with ISOVOX?

Vocal practicing & recording at any time, in any environment.

It’s a very original and non-traditional concept. How did you come up with the idea? Noisy neighbours?

I lived in the capital city in Sweden, Stockholm. Mostly apartments. As a professional musician, it was real hard to practice at home, especially after work. I felt that my neighbours stood in the way of my vocal practicing. (I’m a hard rock vocalist, so I can understand them). On top of that, the apartment was made of concrete, and it was almost impossible to get professional sounding recordings.
Then the idea hit me!

How exactly does it work, scientifically?

ISOVOX features a Patent. Pend. 360 degree acoustically controlled environment. The RCD-protected outer shell enables isolation and separation from surrounding sound/noise that could bother you or the recording. An inner shell massively decreases sound volume, while maintaining important vocal details. It keeps outside noises, outside. And Inside (noises), inside… So neither you or your neighbours will be disturbed. Practicing & Recording Vocals will never be the same.

Can you tell us more about the design and materials you used?

It was important to use environmentally friendly materials. It is a win-win, both for the user and for the world.

What does the kit include? 

The kit includes a luxurious LED lamp, mic pole, lyric-paper holder and a mic holder for easy setup.
