This time we’re having a Talk with the Italian glam rock band ‘The Lethal Idols’. Enjoy!

How did you guys meet? How did you start the band, who’s in it?

The Lethal Idols is a band formed early in 2015 in Milan, Italy.
Hixy (lead vocals) and Trinity (rhythm guitar) tried to find the best components to create a band that could make a good impression in the local music scene, both in terms of sound and image. They found Martin (lead guitar), Mark (drum) and Tia (bass).

How did you develop your style? What were your major influences?

We try to combine as much of our influences as we can. These start from glam / sleaze and extend to more or less all kinds of music. We are very open-minded.

What difficulties do you meet as a band?

Everything comes out in a way so spontaneous that, in case of problems, we can handle them safely, so we had no problems and we immediately understood each other.

What do you think about the state of the music industry nowadays?

Certainly it is hard to get noticed because there are many good bands, but the music industry now focuses on other types of music. But there’s still an interest in rock, especially coming out of our country, rock n roll is always rock n roll, after all!

From your point of view, how can things improve for musicians which are still in their early days? How did you get initial support?

Since we’re still in our early days we can say that our friends are helping us a lot, we made band T-shirts and we produced some demos to give people who want to know more about us an idea of what we are doing and to show them that we are serious about it.

What do you think of Drooble? How would it help your band?

Looks like Drooble is a cool place where artists can share everything about them. We really hope it will be enjoyed by tons of bands and musicians! It’s a new platform for us and it is useful because we got a new way to let our music be heard.

Why do you play music? Is there a message you want to send to people through your band and music?

We’re playing for passion, we really love to make music! There are some messages that we want to share, we talk about many feelings in our songs… some songs are more serious while others are more about having fun. We just talk about life.

What are your plans for an album? What do you think about music streaming services – are they all you need?

We’re planning to record an EP with new tracks, but we still have no idea when it will be available and in what formats. Music streaming services definitely help small bands to grow, even when on low-budget.

You just started playing live gigs. How do you feel about it – how’s the audience?

We’ve played our first gig almost one month ago and it was a blast, the audience was really good and it was really fun to play out there. We’re ready to hit the stage again and more frequently from now and we have some gigs ready to be announced soon!
